Camera: Fuji Finepix 2400.

Below are some scans from pictures I took with a Fuji Finepix 2400 digital camera. The pictures were taken during the 2002 Old Rovers Legends Tour to the Maputo Elephant Reserve in Mozambique. Here you'll find mostly pictures of the vehicles that was brought on the tour.

Meeting up at the Middelburg Ultra City at 07H30.

Hennie and Fanie du Plessis stopping en-route to Swaziland in Hendrina for last minute shopping.

Roadside repairs. We are in Swaziland on the other side of Oshoek borderpost. Alan Cotton is taking care of a wiring problem.

Fanie du Plessis topping up oil while we wait for the rest of the convoy to catch up. Here we are parked just 1 Km short of the Hlane Wildlife Sanctuary entrance.

Clem Daniel proud to have reached the first ovenight stop with 'Fred' in the background.

Setting up camp in Hlane.

Fanie (frustrated) trying to find the source of the excessive oil consumption.

The rest all parking off for a beer.

Paul Oxley's 'scrappy'.

Fred and Brown Bolt. The short wheel base Land Rover's were out in force on this trip. Where were you Sats and Jonathan S ?

Lemon and Alan Cotton's incredible "Oz Tent" that take only 10 seconds to pitch.

The magnificent waterhole.

Sunset over the waterhole ! Hippo's watching our movements closely.

Eager bird watchers.

Early next morning. Jacque and Paul packing up.

And so is Sean and Hilton.

A sad sight indeed. Hundreds of snares removed at Hlane displayed at the entrance.

Convoy meeting up at with Mike Furgeson at Boane in Mozambique to start the drive to the Reserve.

Very crappy road and Fanie Dup assisting Hennie with the fitting of a spare after a flat tyre.

Enjoying a stop at a roadside pub. The full convoy in view. Our first taste of 2M Moz beer :-)

Three shorties and proud owners in view.

Hennie and Jaco's campsite in view a stone throw from the beach at Ponta Milibangalala.

Jacque's campsite.

Andre Goldshagg enjoying a (frequent) snooze :-)

Alan Cotton kite surfing !

Mike F stitching up a bad cut on Clem's hand. Ronel looking on.

Sadly our time is over and we are heading out under and overcast sky.

Sandy tracks that restrict speed to a max of 15km/h.

Meanest obstacle we encountered. Fanie Dup in a spot of trouble after a front shock broke on the Rangie and he lost adequate traction.

Watch out for next year's Legends Tour !
